Mission Scotland

Mission Scotland is a ministry to the nation of Scotland.  Alvin Dickerson and his wife, Barbara, are the missionary family in this area.  The Stuart McNabb family and the Dan Pettersen family have joined Alvin and Barbara in their efforts to spread the gospel to this area.

  Pettersen family activities

Dan and Nicki Pettersen and Isaac, Eli and Gemma have been on the field in Scotland since July 2006.  They are getting to know their new surroundings.

It is time for settling in to work and ministry.  Nicki is working as a pharmacy technician.  Dan is working in a local photo developing lab.  He is also teaching a Digital Photography class on Friday mornings at the local vocational-technical school.  Dan has also led a few of the  ministry team Bible Studies and is teaching at the Bible School.

The kids have gotten fairly well adjusted to school.  Gemma has written a few songs since arriving in Scotland.  Eli has developed a new country in his bedroom; complete with national flag, dialect, and currency.  Issac has been able to attend a senior camp, has a girlfriend and is participating in sports.

Continue to pray for understanding of the culture and language as well as health protection.  The van has seen better days.  Please pray for the van to work properly and be a reliable source of transportation.  Dan is using the van for the most part to commute to work and travel to Mission Scotland activities.  Nicki is using the public transportation as her main means to travel to and from work.
